Hiking : Markovica

This moderate 4.4-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the beautiful area around Markovica. The hike has an elevation gain of 297 meters and is expected to take around 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will pass by the Hostinec na Lúčkach pub, located right at the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you will encounter the refreshing Markovica spring, perfect for a quick break to hydrate. About midway through the hike, you will come across the Jama information point, where you can learn more about the area and its history.

The highlight of the hike is reaching the peak of Markovica, located 2.14 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. After taking in the scenery, you will make your way back, passing by the various points of interest once again.

Remember to bring an adequate supply of water and snacks, as well as appropriate hiking gear. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast before setting out on the trail.
