This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Lago dei Banchi. The trail is 1.166 kilometers long and offers a super easy difficulty level with no elevation gain.
As you start your hike, you'll come across the Ospizo del San Gottardo restaurant. This is a great spot to fuel up before hitting the trail. Further along at about 0.58 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Lago dei Banchi, a picturesque water body where you can take a breather and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Along the way, you'll also pass by the Scuderia and Vecchia Sosta restaurants, perfect for a pit stop if you need some refreshments. For history buffs, there are monuments like the Monumento all'aviatore Guex and the Generale Alexandr V. Suvorov monument to explore.
As you head back towards the starting point, be sure to check out the Tremola viewpoint for stunning views of the area. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this scenic hike.
