This extremely difficult hiking route in Pribylina spans a distance of 29.43 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1678 meters, making it a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.
The trail starts at the parking area at the trailhead, where you'll find helpful information boards to kick off your journey. As you begin your trek, you'll pass by a picnic site and an alpine hut called Schronisko PTTK na Hali Ornak, which is a great spot to take a break at the very beginning of the hike.
As you continue on, you'll encounter several water sources along the way to replenish your supplies, including Nižné Tomanovské pleso and various other natural water locations. There are also multiple shelters scattered throughout the route, providing much-needed rest stops at different points, such as Tomanovský vodopád and Rázcestie pod Tomanovou.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach Tomanovské sedlo / Tomanowa Przełęcz, a scenic saddle offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take a moment to soak in the beauty of the area before continuing your journey.
Towards the end of the route, you'll come across boundary stones marking the SK/PL border, adding a touch of historical significance to your hike. Finally, you'll end your adventure back at the starting point, feeling accomplished after conquering this challenging trail.
