This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to Kresanica / Krzesanica, starting at the Hali Ornak alpine hut. The total distance of the hike is 13.638 kilometers with an elevation gain of 972 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous and challenging adventure.
As you begin your trek, you'll pass by the Schronisko PTTK na Hali Ornak, a mountain hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing on. Along the way, you'll encounter various points of interest such as Chuda Przełączka, Ciemniak / Temniak peak, Szerokie Siodło saddle, Mułowa Przełęcz, Twarda Kopa peak, Kazalnica peak, Wysoki Grzbiet peak, Szczelina w Krzesanicy cave entrance, and Lodowa w Ciemniaku cave entrance.
The hike will also take you past boundary stones marking the border between Slovakia and Poland, adding a historical element to your journey. Keep an eye out for information points and benches where you can learn more about the area and take a break.
It's important to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear for this challenging route.
