This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Monte Pianard, covering a distance of 13.337 kilometers with an elevation gain of 950.0 meters. The total duration for this hike is approximately 5 hours and 27 minutes, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.
Starting off at the trailhead, you will come across some points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area located just 4.83 meters away, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the journey. Around 0.35 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by Rifugio l'Arbergh, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the picturesque surroundings.
As you continue onwards, you will come across a drinking water source approximately 0.23 kilometers from the start, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the trek. About 0.73 kilometers in, there is an information point providing valuable insights into the area. Midway through the hike, at around 5.15 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the landscape.
Closer to the destination, at 6.67 kilometers from the start, you will find yourself at the summit of Monte Pianard, surrounded by panoramic views of the region. As you head back, make sure to refill your water supply at the drinking water source located 0.4 kilometers away and take a moment to rest at the spring about 3.04 kilometers into the return journey.
