Welcome to the Roche Plane hiking route! This challenging 6.52-kilometer trail offers hikers stunning views and a rewarding workout.

Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your journey through a picturesque forest. About halfway through the hike, you will come across the Lac Couvert, a beautiful hidden lake only 1.7 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Continuing on, you will pass by the Piste forestière de Plan Villard information point at 0.53 kilometers from the start, where you can learn more about the local flora and fauna. As you approach the peak of Roche Plane at 3.26 kilometers, get ready for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.

While the trail is challenging with an elevation gain of 568 meters, the beauty of the landscape makes it all worthwhile. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before setting out to ensure a safe and enjoyable hike.

As this route is an out-and-back trail, you will retrace your steps back to the starting point. Remember to take your time, enjoy the scenery, and pace yourself accordingly. Roche Plane awaits you at the end of this memorable trek!
