This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area around Cima Azarea, offering stunning views and a challenging trail. The total distance of the route is approximately 11.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 760 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 4 hours and 40 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Passo della Lazza, a saddle located at 0.94 kilometers from the start of the trail. As you continue, you will pass by the attraction known as Calcara, situated at 1.65 kilometers from the starting point.
Further along the trail, you will reach Passo della Pianella, another saddle located at 5.44 kilometers from the start. Enjoy the challenge as you make your way to the peak of Capel del Vescovo, situated 2.99 kilometers into the hike.
Midway through the route, you will come across a wayside shrine called Capitello, adding a cultural touch to your journey. Be sure to stay hydrated as you hike by refilling your water supply at the drinking water point located at the start of the trail.
Finally, the endpoint of this out-and-back route is the peak of Cima Azarea, located at 5.96 kilometers from the starting point. Take in the breathtaking views from the summit before making your way back along the same trail.
