Welcome to the Frauenwand hiking route, a challenging circular trail that spans 12.1 kilometers with an elevation gain of 984 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
The trail starts at the Hintertux parking area where you can leave your vehicle securely. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by various facilities such as Mäk Tux for a quick bite, and Hintertuxer Quellwasser for a refreshing drink.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 4.74 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Beschneiungsteich lake, a picturesque spot to pause and take in the scenic views. Continuing onwards, at 4.26 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Tuxerjoch Haus, an alpine hut and restaurant where you can refuel and rest before the challenging ascent ahead.
As you venture further along the trail, you'll encounter benches and information points offering insights into the surrounding nature and landmarks. Be sure to check out the Weiße Wand peak at 5.55 kilometers from the start and Frauenwand peak at 5.91 kilometers, offering stunning panoramic views of the area.
