This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning Offensee area, with a total distance of 10.1 kilometers and an elevation gain of 793 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 4 hours and 19 minutes.
Starting from the trailhead, you will first pass by a parking area at Offensee. This is a great spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on the journey. Continuing along the trail, at around 2.65 kilometers from the start, you will come across a historic wayside shrine, offering a glimpse into the area's past.
As you trek further, at approximately 3.18 kilometers into the hike, you will find a bench where you can rest and take in the surrounding nature. Nearby, at 3.77 kilometers, there is a natural spring called Rinnerboden Bründl, providing fresh drinking water for hikers.
One of the highlights of the route is the Rinnerhütte alpine hut, located at the 5.05-kilometer mark. This is a perfect place to take a break, enjoy a meal, and soak in the panoramic views of the area.
Along the way back, at 2.86 kilometers from the start, you will find another spring with drinking water available. Additionally, at 3.18 kilometers, there is a viewpoint where you can admire the beautiful scenery before heading back to the starting point.
