This challenging 9.441-kilometer out-and-back hike on the 34 Val Schlattain Trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest to explore along the way.
Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, hikers will begin their journey with a gradual incline as they make their way through the picturesque alpine landscape. Approximately 1.69 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the charming Alp Giop alpine hut, offering a perfect spot to rest and enjoy a snack.
As you continue on, you'll pass by several water sources where you can refill your water bottle, with the closest one located at around 3.35 kilometers into the hike. Around 4.42 kilometers in, there is a restaurant called Chamanna where you can stop for a meal and take in the panoramic views.
Throughout the hike, there are also several information points located at various distances from the trail, offering insight into the area's history and natural features. It's a great way to learn more about the surroundings as you trek through the beautiful terrain.
With an elevation gain of 606 meters, this route is classified as difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers. Be sure to bring plenty of water, as well as snacks and appropriate hiking gear.
