This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Monte de San Antón, offering stunning views and a moderate level of difficulty. The trail covers a distance of 4.229 kilometers with an elevation gain of 251 meters, making it a great option for hikers looking for a bit of a challenge.
As you start your journey, you will pass by a parking area, located right at the beginning of the trail. Around 1.28 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Mirador Este viewpoint, offering a picturesque spot to pause and take in the surroundings.
Continuing on, at the 1.47 kilometer mark, you will find the Mirador Oeste viewpoint, providing another opportunity to appreciate the breathtaking scenery. Midway through the hike, at around 1.67 kilometers, you will encounter an artwork installation along the trail.
As you approach the 2.11 kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Monte de San Antón, also known as Cruz de San Antón. This spot offers panoramic views and is a perfect place to rest before heading back. At this point, you will also find another viewpoint to enjoy the vistas.
Throughout the hike, you will come across various landmarks such as a saddle and a cave entrance, adding to the diversity of the trail. For sustenance, you can visit Mesón El Pino Rojo restaurant located just 0.01 kilometers from the start of the route.
