This challenging hiking route takes you to the beautiful Stierkarkopf peak in the stunning alpine region. The trail spans approximately 8 kilometers round trip with an elevation gain of 756 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the picturesque Zaunersee lake located 3.14 kilometers from the start of the trail. This serene water body offers a peaceful spot to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty. Further along the trail at the 3.02 kilometer mark, you will come across the Franz-Fischer-Hütte alpine hut where you can refuel and interact with fellow hikers.
Near the end of the trail, at the 3.99 kilometer mark, you will reach the Stierkarkopf peak, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This is the perfect spot to take a break and soak in the awe-inspiring scenery before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
