This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Tappenkarsee Nature Reserve, offering stunning alpine views and a chance to explore the natural beauty of the area. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 10.737 kilometers and an elevation gain of 872 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will find a parking area at the trailhead, where you can leave your vehicle before beginning the hike. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as appropriate clothing and gear for the changing mountain weather.

About 4.97 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Tappenkarseehütte, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a meal with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Further along the trail, at around 5.37 kilometers, you will find a water source where you can refill your water bottles.
