This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Hinterrugg peak. With a total distance of 11.87 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1844 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
Starting off from the trailhead, you'll come across a parking area right at the beginning. As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by various points of interest such as the Bierhalle / Haus 22 restaurant and the Dolce Vita restaurant, where you can fuel up before continuing your adventure.
Around the midway point of the hike, at approximately 5.47 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Gipfelrestaurant Chäserrugg, offering a perfect spot to rest and enjoy a meal with fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, you'll also find the Chäserrugg peak and a viewpoint for even more breathtaking scenery.
Continuing on, at 5.94 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Hinterrugg peak itself, a highlight of the hike with its stunning views and opportunities for free flying. As you head back on the trail, you'll pass by the Soldatenbrunnen fountain and various benches where you can take a moment to rest.
