Hiking : Decollo Costalunga

This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at Decollo Costalunga.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by the parking area at Dalla Mena restaurant, located right at the trailhead. Make sure to check the forecast before starting and bring enough water for the journey, especially on hot days.

Along the trail, about 2.5 kilometers from the start, you will come across the historic wayside shrine of San Francesco, offering a unique stop to appreciate the area's cultural heritage. Further along, at around 2.63 kilometers, there is a spring where you can refill your water bottles and freshen up.

Continuing on, at 2.68 kilometers, you will find a water source for a quick rest stop. As you approach the peak of Monte La Gusella, at 3.04 kilometers, the elevation gain becomes more challenging, offering rewarding panoramic views of the surroundings.

At around 3.13 kilometers, you'll come across another historic wayside shrine, S Antonio, providing insight into the local history. Finally, at 3.41 kilometers, you'll reach Antenne Costalunga, a site for free flying takeoff, where you can admire the landscape from a different perspective.
