This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of El Dinosaurio in Camino Sur de la Maliciosa. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 5.602 kilometers and an elevation gain of 485 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Embalse del Pueblo de Navacerrada, a picturesque water reservoir just 0.09 kilometers from the trail. Along the way, you will also come across Peñotillo Bajo, a peak located 1.54 kilometers from the start, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
For nature enthusiasts, there are several peaks to explore, such as those at 2.56 kilometers, 2.77 kilometers, and 2.8 kilometers from the start. These peaks provide an excellent opportunity to take in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
Along the trail, you will also find Fuente de la Casa de Guías, a spring located 0.08 kilometers from the trail, perfect for refilling your water supply. Additionally, Fuente de La Barranca is another spring you can visit, just 0.16 kilometers from the start of the trail.
As you make your way back, don't miss the chance to admire El Dinosaurio, a rock formation located 2.56 kilometers from the start, and the nearby saddle at 2.77 kilometers.
