This extremely difficult 16.642-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning landscapes surrounding Croce Faure. The trail offers a challenging elevation gain of 749.0 meters and is estimated to take around 5 hours and 43 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Lago di Desertes, a picturesque lake located approximately 7.07 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along, at 5.85 kilometers, you will find the Ricovero Rochette shelter for a brief rest.
Midway through the hike, around the 2.9-kilometer mark, you will reach the Colletto Pourachet saddle, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. As you continue, you'll encounter the Colletto del Lago saddle at 6.95 kilometers.
Along the route, you'll also find essential amenities such as the Rifugio Alpino La Chardousë restaurant at the 0.04-kilometer mark and a drinking water source just 0.04 kilometers from the start.
For nature lovers, there are several peaks to explore, including Punta Guardiol at 7.39 kilometers and Monte Cotolivier at 1.91 kilometers from the start. Additionally, make sure to visit the Cotolivier viewpoint at 1.87 kilometers, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
