This difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through the beautiful area near Croce della Retaia. The total distance of the hike is 6.438 kilometers with an elevation gain of 655 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.

As you start your hike, you will come across Villa Gini at just 0.05 kilometers from the trailhead. This historic manor provides a glimpse into the past as you make your way through the lush surroundings. Further along the trail at 0.6 kilometers, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the area.

Around the 1.93 kilometer mark, there are two picnic sites located close to the trail where you can take a break and enjoy a scenic meal. Continuing on, Casa Bastone, an alpine hut, will be situated at approximately 1.95 kilometers from the start, offering a cozy spot to rest and recharge.

At around 3.19 kilometers into the hike, you will find La Retaia, a natural peak just a short distance off the trail. This is a great opportunity to take in panoramic views of the surroundings. Following the trail further, you will reach Croce della Retaia, a viewpoint located at 3.22 kilometers from the start, providing breathtaking vistas of the area.

Throughout the hike, there are various benches and information points scattered along the trail, offering opportunities to take a breather and learn more about the surroundings. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and wear sturdy hiking shoes as you tackle this challenging route.
