This challenging hiking route will take you on a 9.6-kilometer long journey to Monte Vigo, offering breathtaking views and various points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a cozy cafe called International, located just 0.15 kilometers from the start, perfect for grabbing a quick snack before your ascent. As you continue on, you will come across Bar Paninoteca Centro Scuola di Sci, a great spot for a refreshing break just 0.24 kilometers into the hike.
Midway through your adventure, at 2.35 kilometers from the start, you will reach Malga Panciana, a rustic restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by the beauty of the mountains. Nearby, there are two picnic sites for you to relax and refuel before tackling the remainder of the trail.
As you approach the summit of Monte Vigo, which stands at 4.49 kilometers from the start, you will find a viewpoint that offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to soak in the awe-inspiring scenery before starting your descent back to the trailhead.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter several information points where you can learn more about the area and its history. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear, as this trail is known for its elevation gain of 729 meters and can be quite strenuous.
