This extremely difficult 18.066 kilometers circular hiking route, known as D10d, offers challenging terrain and stunning views in the area. The hike has an elevation gain of 704 meters and is estimated to take about 5 hours and 56 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this journey, it is recommended to check the weather forecast and bring an adequate water supply.

As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the route, you will find the "Place du 8 mai 1945" parking area, followed by the "Café du Siècle" cafe and a fountain just 0.2 kilometers from the start. Moving further along the trail, you will reach "Col du Pas," a saddle located approximately 5.71 kilometers into the hike.

Midway through the journey, you will encounter the "Monument au maquis Aigoual-Cévennes," a historic monument situated around the 5.73-kilometer mark. Additionally, the "Valleraugue - Office de Tourisme" information center provides insights about the area's attractions.

As you continue your trek, be sure to take in the panoramic views at the "Belvédère des 4000 marches" viewpoint, located approximately 9 kilometers into the hike. Along the way, you can also find dining options such as "Pizza 4000" and "Les 4 Saisons" cafes, as well as "Café du Jardin."
