This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sainte-Victoire in Provence. The 5.575-kilometer trail has an elevation gain of 619 meters and is estimated to take about 2 hours and 50 minutes to complete.
Starting at the Parking du Bouquet, you will begin your journey with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. About midway through the hike, at 1.59 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Pas du Berger, a rocky outcrop that offers a unique photo opportunity.
Continuing on, at 2.54 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Prieuré de Sainte-Victoire, a historic monastery that provides a peaceful resting spot to take in the scenery.
As you near the end of the trail, at 2.79 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Croix de Provence, a peak that offers panoramic views of the region. This is a great spot to stop for a break and soak in the beauty of the landscape.
Throughout the hike, there are several viewpoints and rock formations to admire, such as Pas de la Savonette and La Brèche des Moines. Be sure to bring plenty of water, as the trail can be quite strenuous due to its length and elevation gain.
