This hiking route follows the picturesque Route des Crêtes, known for its stunning views and easy terrain. The trail covers a distance of 1.873 kilometers with an elevation gain of 105 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

Starting at the parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail, hikers can quickly access the first point of interest, a charming fountain located just 0.04 kilometers from the start. As you continue along the trail, you will pass by the Ferme Auberge du Freundstein, a delightful restaurant nestled in the countryside just 0.06 kilometers from the trail.

Further along the route, at 0.77 kilometers from the start, you will find the Riesenkopf peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take a moment to admire the boundary stone located 0.94 kilometers from the start, a historic marker along the trail. Nearby, you will also discover a viewpoint that provides a perfect spot to rest and take in the scenery.

As this is an out-and-back route, hikers will retrace their steps to return to the starting point.
