Welcome to the hiking route to Zeisigstein! This circular trail spans approximately 2.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 101 meters, taking around 55 minutes to complete. The route is classified as easy, suitable for hikers of all levels.
Starting at the parking area, you will embark on a scenic journey through the picturesque landscape. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest:
- Begin your adventure by passing by the Überlauf Rückhaltebecken Buschbach, a tranquil water feature located just 0.06 kilometers from the start.
- As you continue, you'll come across the picnic site at 1.45 kilometers from the trailhead, offering a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy a meal.
- Midway through the hike, you'll reach the Zeisigstein peak, standing tall at 1.45 kilometers from the start. Here, you can marvel at the surrounding natural beauty and take in panoramic views from the Zeisigsteinnadel viewpoint nearby.
- Along the trail, you'll also find informative signboards and shelters to rest at, providing insights into the region's history and environment.
- Towards the end of the hike, you'll pass by the memorial for the Kampfmeeting der FDJ zum 20. Jahrestag der DDR, a significant historic landmark located 0.17 kilometers from the trail.
