The hiking route we are describing today is an out-and-back trail that covers a distance of 13.115 kilometers with an elevation gain of 320 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the "Parkplatz Steinplatte" parking area right at the beginning of the trail, where you can conveniently leave your car before starting the hike. Along the way, you will find the "Durchkaseralm" restaurant about 1.86 kilometers from the start, where you can refuel and enjoy some local cuisine.
Midway through the hike, approximately 6.56 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a refreshing water source. Make sure to stay hydrated and fill up your water bottles here. Further along the trail, at around 5.55 kilometers from the start, you will find a historic wayside shrine that adds a cultural touch to your outdoor adventure.
As you continue on the trail, you may spot several peaks such as "Windbühel", "Lahnerkogel", and "Eggenalmkogel" in the distance. While these peaks are not directly on the trail, they offer breathtaking views and are worth a visit if you're up for a detour.
